How CSP calculates the average wage
The average monthly wage is the calculated wage fund divided by the average number of employees converted to full-time equivalents. That is why the average corresponds to full-time work even when some employees work part-time.
CSP combines its quarterly wage survey with State Revenue Service data from employer reports. Net pay is calculated, not surveyed: gross less the employee VSAOI and income tax. The figures are not seasonally adjusted.
