Public holidays in Latvia, 2025
Latvia has 15 public holidays in 2025, and 11 of them fall on a weekday. 5 May is also a day off, because 4 May falls on a weekend. There are 4 long weekends (three or more days off in a row): Easter (18–21 April), early May (3–5 May), Midsummer (21–24 June) and Christmas (24–28 December).
Institutions financed from the state budget move 2 working days: 2 May to Saturday 10 May and 17 November to Saturday 8 November.

Transferred working days in 2025
The Cabinet order binds institutions financed from the state budget that work a five-day week. For municipalities, companies and organisations it is a recommendation, so in the private sector a day moves only if the employer decides so.
